After the Armistice

November 25, 1918

Excerpts from the diary of Green Howards soldier, Stanley Harrison, spanning Armistice day 1918 to the first peacetime Christmas for four years.

Nov. 25th. Feeling better. Off guard at 2 o’clock. Rough sea. Rolling again. Wrote to Vera & Mother. Brief, owing to vibration of boat and being packed so much and seasickness. Cannot relish sea voyages.
