Support Us

As a charity, we rely on fundraising activity, ticket sales and gifts in Wills to help us preserve and interpret the legacy of the Green Howards and the regiment’s connection to Richmond for future generations.

Make a Donation

Any gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful contribution to our ongoing work and is received with heartfelt thanks.

Your donations enable us to continue with our exhibition, conservation, outreach and research programs.

By Leaving a Gift in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will to support our work will ensure that the Green Howards collection is preserved, understood and honoured for generations to come.  As a registered charity, all gifts left to our cause are exempt from Inheritance Tax.

Your Will is a very personal and important document.  We suggest seeking professional advice concerning its wording to ensure that your wishes are carried out exactly as you would want.  You can use a resource such as the Law Society of England & Wales to find a solicitor who specialises in Will writing or use one of the online Will writing services now available.

There are many ways to leave a gift to support the Green Howards, such as a gift of money, property or shares, or a gift of the residue of your estate (what’s left after loved ones have been taken care of).  Please speak with a professional for advice on the best way to structure your Will.  Should you wish to leave a gift to the Green Howards please contact Emma Woods, CEO of the Green Howards Trust and Museum ([email protected]) to obtain the precise wording and correct charity registration details for your use.

Wall Plaques

Our staircase fundraising appeal was so successful that we are continuing to recognise donors with wall plaques. If you are able to donate £700 or more, why not consider this option?  Please contact us on 01748 826561 for further information.
