After the Armistice

December 13, 1918

Our diarist, Stanley Harrison didn’t write an entry on this day one hundred years ago.

Instead, we must turn to the diary of the 13th Battalion, The Yorkshire regiment (as the Green Howards were called at the time) to find out what the soldiers were up to on the 13th December 1918.

‘Working parties at MURMANSK & KOLA as usual, nothing unusual to report.’
