After the Armistice

November 24, 1918

Excerpts from the diary of Green Howards soldier, Stanley Harrison, spanning Armistice day 1918 to the first peacetime Christmas for four years.

Nov. 24th.  Still seasick.  Guard at 1.0 p.m. Snowing.  Getting very cold.  Fur coats out.  Rolling like a rowing boat.  Saw “Aurora Borealis” about 4.30 (Northern Lights). “Midnight Sun”.
