The Green Howards Museum has formed a partnership with The Beacon in Catterick Garrison.
Based in Catterick Garrison, the centre focuses on independent living skills, health and wellbeing, training and education, all with the aim of empowering veterans to live confidently and independently. The Beacon also offers supported housing to single veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have support needs.
Veterans from The Beacon recently visited the museum for a guided tour and lunch kindly sponsored by Thomas the Bakers.
We are working together on new initiatives for 2026, one of which includes a Dig for Victory Garden.
