School holiday sessions

There’s LOTS to do at the museum during the school holidays, come rain or shine.

We’ve got specific themed sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm with topics ranging from Flying Aces to Model Making to Colourful Camo.

Can’t make it to the museum on a Tuesday or Thursday?  Don’t despair!  Will’s Military Wander takes place on the 10th and 24th of August – they’re Wednesdays, and we’ve got a huge project running every single day of the summer holidays which is going to build and build, so make sure you keep visiting us!

HOLD THE FRONT PAGE!

Each day throughout the entire summer break we are creating a trench newspaper.

We want all our younger visitors to contribute to the publication by making up an advert, a funny article, poem, song or drawing.

You will be able to look at real life examples for inspiration, understanding the kind of humour that kept the soldiers going during their time in the trenches.

We’ll be collecting all of the contributions, putting them together, and then publishing our Trench Paper for Tommy at the very end of the holidays.

Entry to the museum is FREE for under 16s, and there’s no charge for any of these additional activities.
