We’re back

We’ve got lots planned for our 2022 season.

SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS: CREATED IN CONFLICT – two for ’22

The museum reopens with the first of two brand new special exhibitions: Man of Mystery; the lives of John Purvis runs until Saturday 30 April.

Later in the year, starting on 14th May, we’ll bring you a special exhibition giving us the chance to explore some of the art from our collection, created by the soldiers who served. Find out more about Created in Conflict.

FREE Malaya display

2022 marks the 70th anniversary of the regiment leaving Malaya after four years of jungle fighting. Learn more about the ‘Malayan Emergency’ in our reception area display case.

Baking bonus for April visits

Our ever popular Pop-Up Mess returns on Fridays and Saturdays during April.

Museum visitors can enjoy a nice cup of tea, a piece of cake and sit down on our lovely Mouseman chairs at this special fundraising event.

There’s no better place for refreshments than in the stunning surroundings of the museum’s Normanby Room.

Wanders Return

We’ve scheduled in a couple of our popular Richmond Wanders in April and May, just to get the season started. Check the dates, we’ll undoubtedly be adding more as the year goes on.

NEW: Take a Touch Tour

On alternate Tuesdays between May and October you can experience history at your fingertips with a special museum admission, which includes a session handling objects from our collection in the company of our curatorial team.

NEW: Trips Out!

We’re offering guided day tours on a range of themes. Numbers are limited, the details are still being finalised, but you will have a great day out in the company of the museum team, so make sure you’re the first to find out what’s planned by following us on social media and signing up for our newsletter.

Museum Talks

We’re delighted to be able to welcome you back to our evening talks in the museum. Let’s face it, we’re all sick of Zoom. The Museum Talks programme runs between April and September and is currently being finalised, so check the what’s on section as we confirm dates and details and put those events live online for you to book.
