Learn how to hand applique your own poppy – a perfect way to use up small and precious snippets of fabrics.
The workshop will take you through selecting and layering your fabrics to hand applique your own poppy petals. Details will be built up using hand embroidery to add finishing touches to bring your poppy to life. By the end of the workshop you will have created your own unique poppy to take home and frame, turn into a greetings card, or add to another project of your choice.

Louise Goult is a textile artist inspired by people, relationships and memories. She creates conceptual research based artwork exploring quirky and often overlooked facts. Louise teaches widely across the UK and enjoys meeting new people to share her embroidery skills with; she encourages workshop participants to create their own unique artwork rather than a replica of hers as she believes that this is a more fulfilling experience and will enable attendees to continue creating after the workshop has finished. Louise has taught textile workshops covering many textile techniques for 9 years and has also led many community arts projects.
