An Army barmy day

It’s been an exciting and busy day for us today – even more Army Barmy than usual!

150625_stocktoneventOur intrepid Community Liaison Officer, Virginia and Education Manager, Liam, packed up and shipped out to Stockton.

They took with them an array of museum objects and activities, joining in with The Yorkshire Regiment’s Armed Forces Day event, which took place in the town centre.

Meanwhile, soldiers from 2Bn The Yorkshire Regiment were arriving in batches at the museum in Richmond.

Currently stationed in Cyprus, the battalion is returning to the UK during the summer, and will be based at Catterick Garrison.

Tireless volunteer guides Jim and Peter, whose knowledge knows no bounds, showed them all round.
