VE DAY FLAGS QUIZ
The 8th May 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.
Find out more about what happened to the Green Howards on VE Day here, then return to mark the famous anniversary by learning more about the many countries who fought alongside British soldiers to secure this victory.
April 2020 marks the 80th anniversary of the German invasion of Norway during the Second World War.
Green Howards soldiers were sent to Norway to try to push the Germans back, but they didn’t succeed. We’ve created a special online exhibition, where you can find out what happened and see some of the objects the museum has from the time.
The exhibition includes some great video and images from our archive, so take a look and imagine being sent to fight in Norway in April, 80 years ago!
Once you have looked at the exhibition, test your new knowledge and do some more research with our special Norway quiz (you can also find a link to the quiz at end of the exhibition page).
