1854, France and Great Britain declared war on Russia, heralding the start
of the Crimean War. To mark the anniversary a new book that uses contemporary
diaries and memoirs of Green Howards soldiers – and a wife - to
trace the course of the conflict has been written by the Curator of the
Green Howards Regimental Museum, Major Roger Chapman. |

9 February to mark the 60th anniversary of D-Day. |

When local radio station TFM found they had
a special Christmas problem, they called on the Green Howards for assistance. The radio station, which is helping the charity 'Make a Child Smile', has appealed to its listeners to donate toys for local children who would otherwise be without presents this Christmas. |
