29 May 2008, The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Regimental Museum, and the Annual Geoffrey Powell Lecture, - Brigadier Allan Mallinson.

The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Green Howards Regimental Museum took place at the Worsley Barracks in York, on Thursday 29 May 2008. At the meeting, the following were elected onto the Committee;-

Chairman : Captain Richard Inman (Major David Nicholson standing down)
Secretary : Mr Miles Gaynor (Major Miles Garnett standing down)
Recruitment : Mr Al Christie (in place of Captain Richard Inman)

The other members of the Committee are;-

Treasurer : Major Bob Martin
Museum Guides and Volunteers : Major John Edgar
Editor, the Green Howard : Brigadier John Powell
Dputy Editor, the Green Howard : Mr David Lorrimer
Richmond Area : Mrs Maggie Houghton

Following the Annual General Meeting, the Friends were treated to a fascinating talk by Brigadier Allan Mallinson who presented the Annual Geoffrey Powell Lecture for 2008. A full report on Brigadier Mallinson's talk will follow.
