WE CAN OFFER YOUR SCHOOL:
- A visit linked to the National Curriculum (History, Geography, PHSCE, Science, and Citizenship)
- On-site visit with the choice of either a standard, self-led visit with an introduction from museum staff, or themed sessions led by the museum staff.
- Schools Loan Box "What was it like for children in the Second World War?"
For KS2 History - some topics can also be extended to KS3.
Cross-curricular links to Art, Geography, Science, Maths, Music, ICT, Literacy, and Citizenship.
The box provides material asking:
- What was the Blitz?
- Why were children evacuated?
- What was it like to be an evacuee?
- What did people eat during the war?
- In what other ways might the war have affected people?
- Access to real artefacts
- An opportunity for the students to develop their knowledge and understanding in an enjoyable and inspiring environment.
- Object handling area - try on uniforms and equipment!
School Groups Rate: £1.00 per pupil
Teachers/Classroom assistants: free!
Maximum number of pupils for a visit is 30
