The Green Howards Museum enjoys the support of many ex-soldiers, their families and friends, and other people and organisations with an interest in the regiment. As a result the Museum is fortunate to be in the possession of several diaries and service journals maintained by soldiers on active service. Some of these diaries are in their original manuscript handwriting, and, as such, provide a unique testimony to some remarkable men. The Museum is also custodian of a number of photographic collections which make powerful personal stories and are an invaluable addition to the Museum's collections and the history of the Regiment. For those interested in researching family connections with the Regiment we also include some case histories which not only provide useful information on the research process but also shed more light on the history of the Green Howards. These items are held in the Research section under "The Museum", but we also link to them here for their historical relevance. Click below for content indexes.
